When you send the contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, your company name, what you are interested in, and whatever you write in the message. Our server also records the IP address and browser user agent the form was sent from. We use those two for rate limiting and to deal with abuse, and for nothing else.

When you email or call us: whatever you choose to tell us, kept in the ordinary way any business keeps its correspondence.

When we work together: if you engage us to sell a business, or register as a buyer, we hold the information the work requires. For a seller that means financial statements, tax returns, leases, asset lists and similar records. For a buyer it means what you can fund and what you have run before. This is the sensitive category, and the next two sections are about it.

In your browser: a theme preference, so the site remembers whether you chose light or dark. It stays on your device. The marketing side of this site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party analytics or tracking pixels.

Confidentiality is the product, not a policy paragraph. If you are an owner, we do not take a business to market, name it, or mention it to anyone until you tell us to. When we do market it, it is listed anonymously: the industry, the market and the numbers, with nothing that identifies the company.

A buyer sees the name and the real financials only after signing a confidentiality agreement, and only once we have qualified them. Meetings and tours are usually held off-site or after hours, because the staff generally do not know the business is for sale.

Not with buyers, until you say so. Information about a business we represent goes to a prospective buyer only under a signed confidentiality agreement, and only with the owner's instruction.

Service providers. We use ordinary business software to run this site and our office: website and application hosting, database hosting, email delivery, text-message delivery, and Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form. They process data on our instructions in order to provide their service.

Advisers and lenders. During a transaction, and with your knowledge, information goes to the people the transaction needs: lenders, attorneys, accountants and escrow.

Law. Where we are legally required to produce it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. If you want the current list of the specific providers behind those categories, ask us and we will send it.

The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which is how we keep automated submissions out. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information from your device and sends it to Google for analysis. Its use is subject to Google's own privacy policy and terms of service.

If you give us a phone number, you consent to receive text messages from Beehive Business Brokers LLC regarding your inquiries, account updates and other relevant information. Message frequency will vary. Message and data rates may apply. For assistance, reply HELP or contact support@beehivebusinessbrokers.com. To stop receiving messages, reply STOP. No further messages will be sent.

Contact form submissions and the correspondence that follows them: two years from the last time we heard from you. Records of a transaction we worked on: seven years after the engagement ends, because a completed sale generates tax and accounting records that have to survive it, and because a dispute can surface years later. Records of your consent to be texted: for as long as that consent stands, and four years after you withdraw it. The web server log that holds your IP address for rate limiting: ninety days.

Where we are required by law to keep something longer, we keep it longer, and we will tell you which part and why if you ask.

Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it and we will. Ask us to delete it and we will, unless we are required to keep it, in which case we will say which part and why.

You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP, and out of our email by asking. Send any request to info@beehivebusinessbrokers.com.

We have written this as what we will do, not as a compliance claim. Utah's Consumer Privacy Act applies to businesses above an annual revenue threshold that a brokerage of this size does not reach, so its statutory rights are not ones we are obliged to give you. We give them anyway, because they are the right way to treat somebody's information. If that changes, this page changes with it.

The site runs over HTTPS, the contact form is captcha-protected and rate-limited, and confidential documents live in access-controlled storage rather than in email attachments. No system is perfect and we will not pretend otherwise, but a brokerage that leaks a client's numbers has no business left, which is a strong incentive.

This site is for business owners and buyers. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged on the page rather than made quietly.
